C/LTC Under Construction
The Battalion Commander is responsible for everything that the Battalion does or fails to do. The
Battalion Commander controls the staff through the battalion XO and company commanders while
maintaining the final approval authority in the cadet chain of command. The Battalion Commander
makes sure orders and actions are in compliance with JROTC Regulations, executes all responsibility for
Senior Army Instructor and Army Instructor. They are to make the operational decision for the Battalion
and encourages cadets to participate in after-school activities such as our teams as well as events that
the battalion helps out in the community.
C/MAJ Under Construction
The XO directly supervises the activities of personnel assigned to the command section. The XO also supervises, integrates and coordinates the activities and assignments of the coordinating and special staffs.

C/CSM Under Construction
Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Â As the senior NCO in the battalion, the CSM acts as the principle
liaison between the commander, staff and Cadet NCOs. The CSM reports directly to the cadet battalion
commander. The command sergeant major’s counsel is expected to be calm, settled and unequivocally
accurate, but with an energy and enthusiasm that never wanes, even in the worst of times.

S-1 Battalion Adjutant: Is the administrative assistant to the BC. The S1 is also responsible for performing
other administrative duties as assigned by the BC, XO, or instructor staff. He/she is over all ribbons, ranks
and awards.
C/SFC Under Construction
S-2 Battalion Safety & Security Officer: The S2 assists the BC and the instructor staff in matters pertaining
to unit safety/security and enforces the provision of the security requirements for the battalion.
C/CPT Under Construction
S-3 Battalion Operations and Training Officer: Assists the Battalion Commander in the preparation,
conduct, supervision of all training activities of the cadet battalion, and keeps the commanders informed.

S-4 Battalion Logistics Officer: The S4 is responsible for the maintenance, security, record keeping, issue,
turn-in, and coordination of security for all U.S. government property.

S-5 Battalion Public Affairs Officer: Acts as the contact between the corps-of-cadets and all news media.
This person is in charge of the battalion student publications. He/she publicizes the activities of the Army
JROTC program to create an outstanding image.
